Visitors to Limerick are receiving an extra warm welcome as Volunteer ‘Gathering’ Ambassadors take to the streets of city this summer.
The Gathering Volunteer Ambassador Programme is running throughout the summer in five locations around the country with Gathering Volunteer Ambassadors greeting visitors from all over the world and providing information on upcoming Gathering events in their local area.
Limerick boasts one of Ireland’s most comprehensive Gathering programmes with 147 festivals and events taking place throughout the City and County.
Speaking at the launch of the Gathering Volunteer Ambassador Programme in Limerick, Mary Killeen Fitzgerald, Gathering Limerick Coordinator said: “We are delighted to be able to participate in the Gathering Volunteer Ambassador Programme and showcase the range of quality Gathering events taking place in Limerick this year.
