A Gathering Limerick event held at Limerick Racecourse at the weekend raised €7,100 for a range of local and national charities.
Organised by Safe Nights Ireland, the Campervan Rally Charity Event attracted over 100 campervans from all over Ireland and Britain.
The event featured a Camper Parts and Items Boot Sale, an Exhibition of Traders and Kids Activities, musical entertainment, and a draw for a new campervan. The prize was won by John and Kay Moynihan from Athlacca.
Amongst the charities to benefit from the weekend Gathering were Spina Bifida (€5,000), Galway Hospice €1,000, Childrens Crumlin Hospital Dublin (€200), Down’s Syndrome (€150), Capuchin Day Centre (€100), Cerebral Palsy (€100), Pieta House (€100), Good and New Shop Letterkenny (€100), Letterkenny Hospice (€100), Special Olympics Limerick (€110) and Cystic Fibrosis (€50).
